Posts on this page will all be designed to arm anyone interested in multifamily real estate with education and awareness of a wide assortment of relevant topics. These postings will arrive in different forms to be able to deliver content in its most useful form.

ANCHOR POSTS

These posts are designed around a core topic that is contributes conceptually to the pursuit, optimization, and overall development of multifamily real estate. These posts will utilize the long-form format to do a deep dive into the topic at hand.  These topics will stay at a more global, 30,000-foot level of their impact, will often come in multi-part series, are design to create discussion opportunities amongst the Meliorem Capital – and larger multifamily – community.  Frequency will be bi-weekly.

RESEARCH BRIEFS

These notes are shorter and quicker posts aimed at delivering recent and significant findings in academic research in areas related to the specific context of multifamily real estate – often in apartment communities.  Posts here will typically focus on discoveries in economics, finance, management, community development, governance, etc. and will post with the intent to expand our knowledge base by taking empirical discoveries and condensing it down into short, consumable notes built on explanation, interpretation, and application. Frequency will be weekly.

ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS & UPDATES

The third form of posts will also be quick-hitting news updates on recent articles published in popular outlets. These will often be built on 3-4 articles at a time that are important to the MelCap community, with a quick overview and thoughts/opinions on each, and with the original articles linked for the reader to take in. Frequency will be 1-2 times weekly.

TERMS & CONCEPTS

The final course of contribution to the MelCap R & E section will be content briefs on narrow specific to the investment process or asset management domain of multifamily real estate. The intent is to enhance one’s understanding of key terms and concepts, while keeping the format brief, insightful, and informative. Frequency will be weekly.
